<p><strong>About the College</strong></p> <p>Unity College is an ELC-12 co-educational Lutheran school situated in the Rural City of Murray Bridge, within the Murraylands region of SA.&nbsp; The College has a strong ‘Students First’ focus with a current enrolment of 800 students.</p> <p>Unity College offers students extensive grounds, facilities and play spaces providing an inspiring learning environment where students can safely grow and develop. The College has two closely located campuses (ELC/Junior Campus and Middle/Senior Campus) adjacent to the Southeastern entrance to Murray Bridge.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and reliable Grounds and Facilities Maintenance person to join our existing grounds and facilities team in maintaining the high presentation and safety standards of our grounds and facilities. The successful applicant will also need to support and uphold the Christian ethos and values of the College.</p> <p>The responsibilities of the role will focus mainly on groundskeeping including the use of and maintenance of powered grounds equipment, but will also include minor building and playground maintenance, assisting with event support, and working closely with management, staff, and contractors to ensure learning spaces and resources are safely and well maintained.</p> <p>To succeed in this role, you will need:</p> <ul> <li>To be a practical self-starter with demonstrated initiative and a proactive, positive work attitude.</li> <li>To have experience in groundskeeping and/or general maintenance, (formal horticultural qualifications whilst not required will be well regarded along with previous experience working in a School or Early Learning Centre environment)</li> <li>Experience in installing and maintaining watering/irrigation systems (experience working with high-pressure irrigation systems would be an advantage)</li> <li>To have a good and practical understanding of safe work practices.</li> <li>The ability to communicate well across all levels of staff, students, families and contractors.</li> </ul> <p>Current certifications (or willing to obtain):</p> <ul> <li>Working with Children Check</li> <li>Chemical Handling/Spray Certificate</li> <li>Forklift licence</li> <li>Light rigid (or heavier) vehicle licence</li> <li>First Aid Certificate</li> </ul> <p>A copy of the full Position Description and further information is available by contacting the Principal’s EA, Ms Wendy Kuchel at <a href="mailto:wkuchel@unitycollege.sa.edu.au?subject=%20Grounds%20and%20Facilities%20Maintenance%20Person%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">wkuchel@unitycollege.sa.edu.au</a> or Ph: 8532 0100.&nbsp;</p> <p>Please send your resume and cover letter to: <a href="mailto:wkuchel@unitycollege.sa.edu.au?subject=%20Grounds%20and%20Facilities%20Maintenance%20Person%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">wkuchel@unitycollege.sa.edu.au</a> marked “Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Person”.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;Applications Close on Friday 8th May 2026</strong></p>
