<p>We are seeking a motivated and organised Careers and Pathways Officer to support senior secondary students in preparing for life beyond school. This dynamic role combines careers guidance, program coordination and industry engagement, with responsibility for overseeing compliant and meaningful workplace learning experiences.</p>
<p>About the Role</p>
<p>Working closely with the Careers and Pathways Coordinator, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the College Work Experience and SBAT (School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship) programs, ensuring all compliance, documentation and safety requirements are met.</li>
<li>Liaise with employers, training organisations and families to arrange placements, manage sign-ups and maintain strong industry partnerships.</li>
<li>Conduct workplace site visits, risk assessments and regular check-ins to monitor student progress and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Manage required records and systems, including maintaining accurate placement registers and compliance documentation.</li>
<li>Support career development initiatives such as expos, guest speakers, industry visits and pathway events.</li>
<li>Provide guidance and practical support to students exploring vocational, tertiary and employment pathways.</li>
</ul>
<p>About You</p>
<p>You will demonstrate:</p>

<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging students, families, staff and industry representatives.</li>
<li>Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.</li>
<li>Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, leadership and external partners.</li>
<li>Strong time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.</li>
<li>A proactive, student-centred approach with sound judgement and professionalism.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently across school and off-site environments.</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of vocational education pathways and workplace safety requirements (preferred).</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements</p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant qualifications (desirable) and/or experience in education, VET, youth work or industry engagement.</li>
<li>Current Working With Children Check.</li>
<li>White Card and demonstrated OH&S knowledge essential.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s licence essential.</li>
</ul>
